Innovation makes the difference

"We are hugely satisfied with the result of Conexpo-CON/AG," comments Michael Brookshaw, Global Distributor Manager at Keestrack, the international specialist for mobile crushing and screening. “During the week in Las Vegas we had large and steady attendance and enjoyed the wide international spread and high calibre of our visitors.” In its booth presentation Keestrack focussed on its tracked mobile crushing technologies, displaying two highly flexible impact crushers and the new full-hybrid cone crusher Keestrack H4e.

High market recognition

Keestrack’s fifth Conexpo participation coincides with very successful business trends for the Belgium-based family-owned company group. Previous years of substantial structural growth are reflected by increasing revenues, totalling close to 90 million US-dollars in 2016. At present, record intakes for 1st quarter confirm that sales in 2017/2018 will exceed 100 million US-dollars and consolidate Keestrack’s position under the leading international suppliers of mobile processing technologies. Keestrack’s presence at this year’s Conexpo will immediately contribute to a good share of this growth: “We’re still working through our leads from the show, but agreed contracts for single units or whole lines will certainly sum up to a more than satisfying multi-million dollar result“, says Michael Brookshaw. “We are continuously working on improving our regional representation on all global markets. At Conexpo we had interesting contacts to potential new distributors, who qualify with their technical expertise and service commitment to represent our colours in their markets.”

Two new dealers are now on board for the U.S. Keestrack sales and service network. “We still had some open dealer opportunities in the Midwest and West Coast areas, but now we can assure full support also for those regions”, comments Peter McGeary, Sales Manager Keestrack America. “Throughout the show we received positive feedback for our new headquarters in Krum/Texas, now supporting all sales, service and aftersales activities for U.S.A. and Canada. Together with their unrivalled mobility, versatile productivity and uncompromising quality finish this reliable support makes our plants now the first choice for customers in the quarrying, mining, recycling and aggregates industries,” adds Peter McGeary.

“We enjoyed huge interest of customers from all over Central and South America,” comments Area Sales Manager Paul Fox a far better attendance from these regions compared to the last show. A newly appointed distributor for Ecuador and agreed sales of single units and integrated production lines confirm the positive result. “Especially quarrying and aggregates experts recognize the fundamental advantages of our diesel-electric hybrid and full-hybrid plants which ensure economical and reliable operation. For minor or medium-sized quarry companies with affiliated asphalt/concrete production our high-output mobile plants form a true alternative to static installations with their long approval process and heavy investments.”

Innovation makes the difference

This year Keestrack showcased machines fully focussed on the company’s tracked mobile crusher lines. The displayed impact crushers R3 and R5 are light but robust machines and provide as most versatile and productive plants ideal solutions for minor to medium-sized aggregate producers or recycling contractors. Both models were displayed in diesel-hydraulic configurations, but are also available in diesel-electric drive versions to minimize fuel and maintenance costs. Like the larger 60-tonnes model Keestrack R6, both plants can be equipped with secondary screen modules, which boost contractors’ profits by producing HQ end fractions with a single unit.

A real show-stopper was the new track mobile cone crusher Keestrack H4e: Developed in close co-operation with a renowned cone specialist, the plant features an innovative compact frame design combining a highly mobile low weight concept with efficient multi-stage processing for best end product quality (3-deck secondary screen module, etc.). The H4e features Keestrack’s revolutionary “full-hybrid” diesel-electric drive concept: Supplied by a 346 kW/330 KVA diesel/generator module, a 130 kW electro motor drives the crusher. A separate electric driven hydro pump supplies all hydraulic components, such as tracks, hydraulic cylinders and the secondary screen. According to Keestrack this configuration allows energy cost savings of around 50% in diesel-electric mode. Supplied externally via gen set or mains those savings even extends to 80% with the on-board diesel engine remaining off. As a stand-alone unit or within a production line the Keestrack H4e perfectly meets all requirements for efficient secondary or tertiary crushing. The whole plant is monitored by a new control unit, fully integrating the hydraulic crusher settings control and monitoring system into the proven environment of Keestrack’s Relytec system. Following the enthusiastic market reaction on the 200-tph-model H4e Keestrack announces now the introduction of three larger cone crusher models with transport weights up to 70 tonnes and perfectly adapted to primary and secondary application in quarrying and mining.
